Disability access.

Due to being located in the bush, disability access to all areas is not possible. However, main common areas are wheelchair accessible. Concrete pathways (sloped) between cabins and main hall are wheelchair accessible. When ground is dry there is scooter access across grassed areas to most activities. The main hall is level throughout including bathroom access.

There is a vertical hand rail on the right hand side of the toilet. You may bring a raised toilet seat to assist with transfers. There is space for a manual wheelchair in front of toilet, and the rail can be used for pivot transfer. This bathroom and bedroom are not fully accessible for those with a disability, but those with support, or able to pivot transfer would find themselves able to use it. Please ask if you have any questions or concerns.

The most disability friendly cabin (cabin 1) has a ramp leading from the pathway and a small wedge ramp into the cabin doorway on both sides of the glass sliding door track. There is sufficient circulation space for a wheelchair within the room. The cabin bedding includes: bunk with a double bottom and single top for sleeping along with 2 other bunks (4 beds) for their friends, family or carers. The bathroom has a small 3cm wedge ramp into it, hobless shower, hand held shower hose, horizontal grab rail and space for a shower chair (provided on request) and carer.

Our recently built multi- purpose hall “Grey Gum Centre” has a fully accessible toilet available which will be available for use upon request.
