Our Team

  • Andrew Vanderschoor

Andrew (aka “Vanda”) is our brilliant & much-loved General Manager! Andrew has been on the team here at camp since 2001 and he and his family live on-site. He’s a bush-bashing, art-loving, hilarious, bug-fanatical, devoted Jesus follower. Vanda has poured much of himself out into Wedderburn Christian Campsite over the years and works hard to make sure every camp is memorable.

  • Paul Muilwyk

Paul is our fantastic Assistant Manager! He has worked at WCC since 2006 and is the clever mind behind the back-end admin required to make your camp enjoyable and smooth. If he’s not answering emails, on the phone, or building programs, you might find Paul down at camp welcoming people on site, instructing an activity, or being involved in one of our holiday Adventure Camps.

  • Kath Taylor

Kath has been a highly valued part of our team since joining us in 2007. Affectionately known as the “camp mum”, she is always quick to show kindness. Kath is a true all rounder at camp, handling the finances, making sure the campsite is clean for guests arrival, and pouring her heart into preparing meals in the camp kitchen. Kath is an integral part of our team at WCC.

  • Tim Longley

Tim joined WCC in 2019 and quickly became an asset to our team. Tim is a former trainee with a certificate in Outdoor Leadership. He works full-time on the ground at camp and has a keen interest in learning new skills and has an obvious love of the outdoors, knowing all things knots and ropes! Tim’s engaging, fun nature makes him ideal for his role at camp.

  • Corey McMahon

Corey joined WCC in 2021 and is one of our awesome, valued team members. Corey is a former trainee and has studied Outdoor Leadership. He works full-time on the ground at camp and is extremely skilled at relating to young people. His “punny” sense of humour combined with his diligent outdoor leadership skills make Corey a vital part of our team.

  • Will Vander Noord

Will joined our team in 2023 and is our amazing Community Outreach Worker. Will is a former Ministry Intern of WCC and is well loved by colleagues and campers for his sense of humour, friendly nature and his clear passion for seeing God’s work carried out at camp. Will works hard behind the scenes planning and preparing for our Adventure Camps and is an integral part of our team.

  • Rochelle Christie

Rochelle joined our team in 2023 and works full-time in her role as Rostering and Outdoor Education Program Leader. Super organised and a clever problem solver, Rochelle works hard behind the scenes leading up to camp, making sure every camp program is setup to run smoothly. When not in the office, you will find Rochelle out leading activities and ensuring every guest has a wonderful time at camp!
